The diploma in nursing education from Providence School of Practical Nursing - a school accredited by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Culture, Jamaica, West Indies - is a key that will open many doors for you as a professional nurse. The school is seeking creative students who enjoy working with others.

Students are admitted to Providence School of Practical Nursing based on requirements including High School Diploma, CXC or GCE ‘O’ Level at the upper division for the fall and spring trimester. Overseas students are also admitted admitted to Providence School of Practical Nursing based on requirements including High School Diploma, CXC or GCE ‘O’ Level at the upper division for the fall and spring trimester.

Admission to Providence School of Practical Nursing is highly competitive and only those students who meet the entry requirements will be accepted.

Nursing is a dynamic, practical and caring profession that offers challenges, flexible working conditions and a comfortable standard of living.

The training programme in practical nursing is prepared for beginning professionals in a variety of health care settings including hospitals, community health agencies, clinics, nursing homes, government services, private industries and over fifty (50) Commonwealth Counties.

In addition to the generic practical nursing diploma programme, the school of nursing offers a general home nursing programme that will give you a certification for life from the NCTVET.
